The DVD Invitation has been completed .... Enjoy!

Hello Everyone,

We have accomplished a number of the goals we set for ourselves:
We drove to Nelson. Connected with premies. Participated in an event for premies and new people. Took photos and video and now the video invitation is ready to be sent. We have a few more things to pull together to complete the invitation ... one of which is, Gill will write a brief account of the history of Knowledge in the Kootneys since the 60s? 70s? When that is all done and sent then we wait and see ...... NOT! ...

That is just the begining ... Now we begin having events in the Kootney area. Gill will have his event just outside of Nelson (weekend of 12th/13th July) and will extend his invitation to the folk who came to his restaurant two Sundays ago and others. Betty will be hosting an event (same weekend) at her home in Grand Forks. I am sending her DVDs that might be useful. And what else can we do to? Well, you tell me !!!
Time to start spring cleaning, making the heart home beautiful, clearing the path to the door for the Beloved to arrive. Waking up the neighbours and alerting them to this honoured visitor. So we can all enjoy ourselves in that loving company.

Gill, who is presently in Vancouver, will be talking to Ann Johnson who is responsible for the Keys Library. They will be discussing the best way to facilitate making the Keys available in the Kootneys. There is however, no need to wait on them. Anyone who wants can go to the Keys website:
http://www.thekeys.maharaji.net/ and read and follow the links.

My feeling is that for people to really benefit from a visit with M. they have to be in a place of understanding, clarity and receptivity. For a new person it takes a few contacts with M and his message to get to that place. For premies no different. Also bear in mind, that if there is no opportunity for an Intro. Event, then the event will be for people with K. and for people already on the Keys.

Another thing to bear in mind is that if there is an event with M. you will need to have your Smart Card in hand. So you might like to get that organized asap. I notice that there is a link about the Smart Card on the http://www.eventline.ca/ website. It said that the Smart Card is now Free.
Get your Smart Card in this time that we have.

Please find the link to the invitation below ... enjoy! (It takes about a minute and a half to load ... so patience!) (Quick Time needs to be downloaded and installed in your computer for the DVD to play www.apple.com/quicktime )

Event in Nelson and more .....

Hello One and All,

What I will say here is that if I had carefully planned a personal holiday I would not have enjoyed myself more! There was magic around every corner. I said it when I made my last entry before leaving Vancouver. 'We are going on an adventure' and it was an adventure beyond what we could have ever have dreamt up on our own.

We met with two open hearts, Betty and Gill, and that was all we needed to ensure the success of the venture. That is what made all the difference. I had spoken with Betty in the past by telephone and I had met Gill briefly during out celebration of M's 40th anniversary at Stanley Park. When I met them over the weekend it was as if I had always known them. Except I surprised them by being neither East Indian nor Black as they had imagined.

Betty welcomed us to her home in Grand Forks. A more beautiful setting we could not have asked for. A sweet little house with a garden edged in flowers, tucked into a hillside at the edge of a rural country road overlooking a vast field and surrounded by forest and the scent of rugosa roses and bird song in the air. Even a happy dog with a tail that curled over her back in a full circle! Who could ask for more. We ate borsch, salad from the garden, brown bread and fondue and shared and shared.

Saturday was a total adventure involving a visionary "new ager" at his utopian homestead in the forest where we celebrated the summer equinox, in an underground kiva and addressed our fellow celbrants with heartfelt words, talking stick in hand. During the tasty meal of foods grown in humanure, no less, we extended an invitation to one and all to join us the following day, at the event in Nelson and pressed an introductory DVD into their hand before we left. We than drove around until we came upon the minature donkeys and sheep ....

Sunday morning, Betty was the first out the door to pick up the guests she had invited to the event two hours away in Nelson. With her permission we picked a big vase of flowers to take with us and also hit the road for Nelson.

Gill hosted the event at his edgy, laidback, colourful Mexican restaurant - El Taco.
When we arrived everything was ready. The dining room set up with tables and chairs, the coffee and muffins out. We put out the flowers and a selection of intoductory give-aways we had brought with us and people began arriving. All twenty two of them, half of them new people and half premies. We did a quick final tweaking to the program and Gill took the floor.

The program itself had evolved over the days prior, to be just right on the day. A good dash of introductory for those who had come for the first time. We used the first part of the new DVD "Happiness", a short break, followed at Judith's suggestion of the Interview by Marta Robles. That concluded the intro. section and we broke for fresh salsa and nachos. Lisa, or videographer, who had been capturing moments all along the trip. (Including Judith and myself under the car hood securing a truant sparkplug cover with a bungie cord). Began inviting those that wanted to come forward and take the opportunity of addressing a message to M. which she then captured on film.

The second half of the event started with a 7 minute inspriational DVD selected just the night before after we watched it and decided it would be a great addition, followed by an Introduciton to TPRF's Food for People for those that did not know about this work and a half hour DVD created for the Resource Team that talks about M's recent projects and goals and M shares his clarity.
Something for everyone.

Hugs and 'thank yous' all around and we were off to Vancouver. We were riding high on gratitude and appreciation. The veiws were awe inspiring and all the more beautiful viewed with full hearts! We made it back safely to Vancouver by about 11:30.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for whatever you know you contributed to make this effort a success.

As I write, I know that this is only the beginning. I checked earlier. Lisa is using the photos and the footage she shot, to create our invitation inviting M to the Kootney region for a visit. Judith has been investigating the airports in the area. She is already planning a second visit on the weekend of the 11th and 12th July together with Kirk. I will keep you posted.

Proposal for Planning Event in the Kootneys

Sunday, 7th June 2008

Hello One & All – Far & Wide,

About 12 people from Vancouver drove down to Seattle last weekend to be part of the regional planning and information afternoon. Prentiss (the North American Village Point Person) shared a bit about Maharaji’s current priorities and we listened to what M had to say about Participation and the role of the Service Area Manager (SAM).

I drove down and back with Judith and Gwenda. The three hour drive back was the perfect opportunity to digest what we had gotten from the information shared and to brainstorm how we wanted to respond.

In a nut shell, these are the main points that stuck with us that we would like to respond to:

- Maharaji expressed an interest to see all the premies that have not been around for a long
time.

- Maharaji has been asking for events that evolve out of the regional premies creativity and
expression.

- Maharaji is interested in visiting outlying areas to enable the premies from those regions
to attend as he has been doing in India.

On the long drive back from Seattle this is what evolved out of the brainstorming session.

- Judith, Susan & Lisa are interested in organizing and going on a road trip into the Kootneys as far as Nelson on the weekend of 21st and 22nd June to attend a prearranged planning event (details to be determined).

Through the local contacts in the Kootneys, everyone in the region will be invited to come to the the planning event and will be directed to this blog for any further updates.

At the event we will:
- Watch a DVD of Maharaji.

- Do a presentation highlighting some of Maharaji’s recent the projects and significant
accomplishments.

- Have a meeting discuss the interest in planning and hosting an event in the Interior of BC.

- Record Film footage of expressions from participant during our visit to the Interior which will be used to create a visual invitation asking Maharaji to come to an event in the interior.

Please visit this website for any updates.
