Proposal for Planning Event in the Kootneys

Sunday, 7th June 2008

Hello One & All – Far & Wide,

About 12 people from Vancouver drove down to Seattle last weekend to be part of the regional planning and information afternoon. Prentiss (the North American Village Point Person) shared a bit about Maharaji’s current priorities and we listened to what M had to say about Participation and the role of the Service Area Manager (SAM).

I drove down and back with Judith and Gwenda. The three hour drive back was the perfect opportunity to digest what we had gotten from the information shared and to brainstorm how we wanted to respond.

In a nut shell, these are the main points that stuck with us that we would like to respond to:

- Maharaji expressed an interest to see all the premies that have not been around for a long
time.

- Maharaji has been asking for events that evolve out of the regional premies creativity and
expression.

- Maharaji is interested in visiting outlying areas to enable the premies from those regions
to attend as he has been doing in India.

On the long drive back from Seattle this is what evolved out of the brainstorming session.

- Judith, Susan & Lisa are interested in organizing and going on a road trip into the Kootneys as far as Nelson on the weekend of 21st and 22nd June to attend a prearranged planning event (details to be determined).

Through the local contacts in the Kootneys, everyone in the region will be invited to come to the the planning event and will be directed to this blog for any further updates.

At the event we will:
- Watch a DVD of Maharaji.

- Do a presentation highlighting some of Maharaji’s recent the projects and significant
accomplishments.

- Have a meeting discuss the interest in planning and hosting an event in the Interior of BC.

- Record Film footage of expressions from participant during our visit to the Interior which will be used to create a visual invitation asking Maharaji to come to an event in the interior.
