New Project - The Vancouver Folkfest - This Weekend - You are Invited!
Hello One and All,
Judith is spearheading this one with great passion and vigour!
We did this about two years ago and it was thrilling!
This year will be unique, I know. You never know what lies around the corner. We just put ourselves out there for the ride and the beautiful wave of grace carries us along. Well, another wave is building, can you see it? line up your heart! get in position and let's ride this wave. Let's catch the wave of opportunity!
We will be staking out our territory on Wednesday evening and setting up on Friday and living on site Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This year we have all the equipment and power supply necessary to run the show.

Already we have been given a large selection of materials we can make available for people to take. We will be setting up two tents where people can drop in and view a PeaceFlix or sit quietly with headphones and watch on a laptop.
We are ordering 100 roti which we will sell as a source of funds to cover cost. We are also working on another photo display ... the plan this year is to use favorite West Coast photos taken by four of us locals, as the background for M's words. Hopefully, the four sets of mounted photos will also be sold and generate more funding.

This year we would like to implement an idea we had last time but were unable to pull of. Do you remeber being a kid in summer and lying on your belly in the grass watching an open air movie? Well, we would like advertise a PeaceFlix to be shown under the stars on Saturday night. There is quite the night scene at the Folkfest among all the vendors who set up shop along the perimeter of the festival and overnight on site. We are looking for "a techie" to help with this project. If we had some musicians willing to come forward, we could entertain the audience as we wait for the movie to start!
Come with your love, clarity, understanding and willingness to participate.
